The Activity Feeds can be a great way to search through different types of content on the platform.
Parler 3.0 has simplified the way users populate and view content within the app. Instead of an algorithm feeding users content, users have full control to curate their feed based on their likes and connections. These posts are organized into different feeds to prioritize content from different connections, or to allow you to discover new content and make new connections.
All posts are displayed in chronological order with the most recent posts being at the top of the feed so users can always stay up-to-date on the latest posts. Feeds can be refreshed by clicking the top left Parler icon or by pulling down from the top of the screen. Toggle seamlessly between these different curated feeds by clicking the exclamation icon at the top right of the feeds.
The Activity Feed displays three different types of feed, although there a total of 6 feeds, including groups, discover and global. Users are able to toggle between the different feed types by clicking on the name of the feed, or select one of the other feeds by clicking on the exclamation point (information button).
Welcome Feed
New Users will start their Parler journey on the Welcome feed. The Welcome feed displays content from users who have joined within the last 7 days to allow existing users the opportunity to welcome new users to the platform. After 7 days of being on the platform, the Welcome feed will only be accessible by clicking the exclamation icon in the top right which allows you to toggle between feeds.
Following Feed
The Following Feed only displays posts from users you follow. Following a user creates a connection and populates their content into the Following Feed. Users may be unfollowed at any time, and their content will be removed from the Following Feed.
Friends
The Friends Feed displays users that are your Friends. If a user follows someone following them back, the connection will be upgraded to Friends.
Discover
The Discover Feed showcases posts from various users, regardless of whether you follow them or not. The Discover Feed displays content from Gold Badge users; these users are verified by Parler Support to be notable figures who are influential in their respective fields. Unverified users are rewarded for posting positive, engaging, and diverse content on the platform by having their content reposted by a Parler Verified account to appear on this feed. This allows users to explore new content from users who would not otherwise appear in their Following or Friends Feeds.
Global Feed
All content from all users will be displayed on this feed, except content from users you have blocked or muted.
Information Button
The Info button will open a menu where users can choose from Following, Friends, Discover, & Welcome.
