What is Top Up?
Top Up is a way to prepare your Parler Pay wallet for use. It allows you to purchase supported digital assets through a guided checkout experience powered by Coinbase so you can use Parler Pay features such as sending assets in chat.
Parler Pay does not sell or exchange digital assets. Purchases are completed through a third-party provider, and assets are delivered directly to your wallet.
Where is Top Up in Parler Pay?
Top Up is available directly inside the Parler Pay app.
You can access it from your wallet home screen by tapping Top Up.

Do I need a Coinbase account to use Top Up?
No. You do not need to sign into or create a Coinbase account to use Top Up.
During checkout, you can complete your purchase using supported payment methods such as Apple Pay or by entering your credit card information directly in the checkout flow.
What am I sending after I Top Up?
You are sending supported digital assets to other users within Parler Pay using wallet features such as chat-based sending.
Who am I buying from?
All purchases are completed through Coinbase. Parler Pay does not sell digital assets.
Why am I redirected during checkout?
Checkout takes place in Coinbase’s hosted flow so they can securely handle payment processing and any required verification.
Why did my Top Up fail?
Common reasons include:
- Billing address does not match your card
- Payment method not supported in your region
- Verification requirements not completed
- Card issuer declined the transaction
These decisions are made by Coinbase.
How long does it take for my balance to appear?
Balances usually update shortly after checkout. In some cases, it may take a few minutes to reflect in your wallet.
Can Parler Pay reverse or refund my Top Up?
No. Refunds and transaction issues related to checkout must be handled by Coinbase.
Is there a minimum amount?
Yes. Coinbase requires a minimum purchase of $5.
Is Top Up available on all platforms?
Top Up is live on web and iOS. Android availability may follow pending app store updates.
Do I need crypto experience to use this?
No. Top Up is designed to be simple. Choose an amount, complete checkout, and use your wallet.
If Coinbase is down does it affect my Top Up?
If Coinbase is experiencing an outage or service disruption, Top Up purchases may be temporarily unavailable during that time.
Because Top Up uses Coinbase’s hosted checkout to process purchases, availability depends on Coinbase’s systems. Parler Pay does not process the checkout or complete the transaction directly.
Once Coinbase services are restored, Top Up should function normally again.
If you experience issues during a Top Up attempt, we recommend trying again later. If the issue continues after Coinbase services are back online, you can contact Parler Pay Support at support@parlerpay.com.
